Background:
The Accrington Academy is an education facility for mixed students aged 11–18-year-olds. The academy specialises in sports and mathematics and is located on Queens Road West, Accrington.
The Academy already has one of our maintenance contracts in place but this would be the first contract.
The project:
The existing carbon steel pipework on the roof plant areas had corroded over time.
We replaced this with new stainless-steel pipework.
We also removed the existing thermal insulation on the ventilation ductwork on the roof and replaced it with new insulation that had a weatherproof finish.
All the new pipework was installed with electrical trace heating and new thermal insulation.
