The Client:

Sarah Ferguson is becoming a patron of Prevent Breast Cancer, which is building an academy to train specialists at Wythenshawe Hospital in Manchester.

The centre will train 50 new staff each year and also increase breast cancer screening capacity by 13,000 appointments annually. BBC News Manchester

Work Completed:

The project involves the extension of the existing Nightingale Centre at Wythenshawe Hospital, which is part of the Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, to form the National Breast Imaging Academy.

Works include:

  • New main plant room
  • New mechanical ventilation plant & associated ductwork & air terminals
  • New LTHW heating system via heater batteries, fan coil units and radiant panels
  • New chilled water cooling system via main ventilation and fan coil units
  • New split heating and cooling system
  • New water services, including point of use water heaters
  • New above ground drainage services.
  • Supply and installation of sanitaryware systems

Project due to complete Summer 2025
