Murray Building Services has worked with the Westmorland General Hospital in Kendal for a number of years and was recently appointed to carry out mechanical services as part of the refurbishment of theatre 2.
The project included a new air cooled chiller, new air handling unit, ultra clean theatre canopy, medical gases and controls.
Constructed under very tight constraints around the existing building. the project included the existing roof being removed for the installation of new plant.
The air flow ventilation systems had to pass very stringent standards.
Murrays has vast experience in the health care sector and their engineers successfully co-ordinated the shut down and isolation of existing services with hospital engineers.
