Building services for community centre
The brand new three-storey LGBT+ Community Centre project was completed in May 2021 by City Build Ltd.
Designed to support the UKs LGBT+ community, the center features a café, community rooms, library, and city-centre roof garden.
Murray Building Services completed the mechanical and plumbing services.
Work included the installation of an air source heat pump that would serve the low-pressure hot water (LPHW) heating system and the domestic hot water. A Passivent natural ventilation system was also installed.
Ventilation, domestic water, above-ground drainage, and sanitary ware were also provided.
A building management system (BMS) was installed to control and monitor the building’s mechanical equipment.
This project is one of many joint ventures between Murray Building Services and City Build over the last decade.
