Engineering vacancies at Murray Building Services

We are recruiting due to continued expansion! 

Murray Building Services Ltd is a commercial and industrial building services and maintenance company with a group turnover of circa £8 million. 

We have been established for 20 years and now have over 50 employees.

Two vacancies have now arisen as a result of our continued growth. 

Commercial Gas Heating Service Engineer (Breakdown Engineer)

Experience conducting diagnostic, service and maintenance, basic installations to commercial plant, HVAC and Mechanical Building Services.
Able to carry out fault finding and repair of Commercial plant room equipment. i.e., Boilers, Pumps, Valves, Vessels etc.

Conduct Gas servicing in accordance with manufacturers/industry guidelines.
Proficient with Boilers, pumps, valves, AHU’s, fan coils, pipework, Burners controls etc.
Electrical control knowledge would be an advantage.

Oil experience would be an advantage along with LPG.
You will be working within facilities such as commercial, corporate, industrial and governmental (schools/medical)

HVAC Engineer (Multi-Skilled)

The individual will have a proven background in BMS/building management systems.

Experience conducting diagnostic, service and maintenance, basic installations to commercial plant, HVAC and Mechanical Building Services.

Able to carry out fault finding and repair of Commercial plant room equipment. i.e., Boilers, Pumps, Valves, Vessels etc.

Electrical control knowledge would be an advantage.
You will be working within facilities such as commercial, corporate, industrial and governmental (schools/medical)

Required skills and qualifications for both positions

  • City & Guilds, NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • COCN1, CPA1, CEN1, HTR1, WAT1, CKR1, CONLPGPD, CODC1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CDGA1
  • Unvented cylinders

You will need to have a current full UK driving licence and
will need to undertake a DBS check.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Good general numeracy and literacy
  • Good time management
  • Required technical skills
  • Good knowledge of the industry

Successful applicants will need to be willing to work occasional evenings and weekends on a call-out rota.
