Q3 2025 Monthly Update | Murray Building Services

Quarter 3 update 2025

A Message from Our Managing Director

This quarter has been a fantastic demonstration of the breadth and resilience of our business. We’ve secured key projects across education, healthcare, leisure and emergency services, while also making strategic progress within our maintenance division. It’s particularly encouraging to see repeat business from major clients and continued growth across both project and reactive service workstreams. A huge thank you to the team for delivering another strong period for Murray Building Services.

Andy Murray, Managing Director

Maintenance Division Update

It’s been a proactive and promising quarter for MBS Maintenance, with key developments including:

This short-term contract, running from December 2025 to August 2026, is another vote of confidence from our long-standing client, Eric Wright FM.

Team Growth

  • We’re pleased to welcome Connor Mullen to the MBS Maintenance team as a Commercial Plumber, supporting our planned and reactive works.
  • We’re also investing in the future with the appointment of Jack Hulme, who has started an adult apprenticeship in Mechanical Services Maintenance Engineering through Salford College.

Reflections & What’s Ahead

This quarter’s results maintain our positive trajectory: from education through care, leisure, and public services, we’re broadening our sector exposure and strengthening relationships with major contractors.

What stands out:

  • Our busy education‑sector pipeline is delivering new wins and reinforcing our presence in that market.
  • The major win with Manchester City’s White Boxes marks a clear statement of scale and ambition.
  • Achieving entry into the Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service framework opens both scale and credibility in public‑safety environments.
  • Smaller‑value works continue to play a vital role in maintaining operational momentum and diversifying the business.

Challenges & focus areas:

  • With larger projects, close attention to logistics, supply‑chain and programme coordination will be essential to maintain our high standards.
  • As we engage across multiple sectors and clients, maintaining consistency of site delivery and communications remains a top priority.
  • Ensuring our internal resources (skills, site teams, site supervision) are scaled appropriately will help deliver on our growth without compromising quality.

Looking ahead:

  • We anticipate further breakthroughs in the leisure and public services markets in the coming quarter.
  • Our education-sector activity remains strong: we’ll continue to leverage our expertise in school refurbishment, conversion, and improvement projects.
  • Internally, we will continue to invest in our people, processes, and technology to support this growth and maintain our delivery excellence.
