Murray Building Services is looking for an experienced Commercial Maintenance Plumber to join our growing maintenance team.
With 25 years in the industry, over 50 employees and a group turnover of approximately £10 million, we are an established building services contractor providing contracting and maintenance services across the north west.
We work with a wide range of commercial and industrial clients, including businesses, schools, colleges, NHS facilities and public buildings.
As our maintenance division continues to grow, we’re looking for a reliable, skilled plumber who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a supportive team.
About the role
As a Commercial Maintenance Plumber, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, repairing and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of plumbing systems across a variety of commercial properties.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing and resolving plumbing faults quickly and effectively.
- Carrying out installation, maintenance and repairs to water systems, heating systems, unvented water heaters, pipework and sanitary ware.
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety requirements, building regulations and water hygiene standards.
- Communicating professionally with clients and site managers.
- Maintaining accurate records, reports and certification where required.
Skills and qualifications
We’re looking for someone with relevant commercial plumbing experience and a practical, professional approach to their work.
You will need:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Plumbing.
- Knowledge of Water Regulations and health and safety requirements.
- Experience working with drainage, heating and hot water systems.
- Unvented G3 qualification.
- Legionella awareness.
- Good numeracy, literacy and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently and communicate effectively with clients.
Please note: The successful candidate will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
