Building Services work has commenced on a new refurbishment project for Rochdale Town Hall
Rochdale Town Hall is a Grade I listed building that has long been marked as a location of international architectural significance. Steeped in history, it is a landmark building for Rochdale.
Designed by William Henry Crossland and built between the years 1866 and 1871 the building is an outstanding example of the Gothic Revival style and boasts a landmark clock tower and acclaimed stained-glass windows.
As part of a £16 million refurbishment, the building is set to be transformed back to its original glory.
We’re thrilled to be working on this project in conjunction with H H Smith & Sons. Building services work worth approximately 700k has now commenced.
Heritage considerations have been of paramount consideration throughout the design process, with a focus on ensuring minimal alteration to the historic fabric of the listed building.
